Muslim Leader Declares That Oklahoma Tornadoes Are Allah's Punishment for Killing Muslims

If only Allah were more clear in his messages! By attacking random people and school children, he's left his message open to countless interpretations. But what else would we expect from the god who inspired the hopelessly ambiguous, disorganized, and incomprehensible book called "the Qur'an"?

(Denmark) Children Stone Pig to Death...

"Some children are sad that the funny pigs have been removed from an agricultural museum near Gellerupparken in Aarhus Municipality.
The explanation so far has been that the pigs were removed because of environmental and animal welfare.
But the actual reason is brutal mistreatment of the pigs - typically stoning.
In one case a piglet was killed after children of a different ethnic background than Danish had stuck a stick into it. ...
'- We protected the pigs' hut with a fence so they could be left in peace from stones and other objects.'
But the attacks continued, and the pigs have now been removed.
'- They were our most popular animals for most visitors. And we were excited to show how the pigs could live a natural life,' he says and adds that also rabbits, chickens, lambs and sheep have been hurt."

Palestinian Students: Clean the World of Jews...

Hamas cartoon

The Hamas-affiliated student union in Gaza published a cartoon Tuesday in which a person whose body is made of a Palestinian Authority flag is seen throwing a Star of David – one of the best-known Jewish symbols – into agarbage can.
Text under the picture says, “Keep the world clean.”
The cartoon uses a Star of David rather than an explicitly Israeli symbol, indicating that it is meant to refer to Judaism or the Jewish nation as a whole and not the state of Israel alone.
The student union in question is known as the Islamic Bloc – in Arabic, al-Kutla al-Islamiya. It operates in high schoolsuniversities and other educational institutions in Gaza. Its primary purpose is to teach the next generation about the importance of, in Hamas’ words, freeing Palestine from the Israeli occupation.
Hamas views all of Israel as occupied territory and justifies attacks on Israeli civilians as “resistance.”
Many teenagers active in the Islamic Bloc are sent to join the al-Kassam Brigades – the Hamas cells responsible for rocket fire on Israel. Some teen boys are sent to join the cells before finishing high school.

A Nazareth court on Tuesday extended the remand of the Arab leader of a cult in northern Israel

A Nazareth court on Tuesday, May 21, extended the remand of the Arab leader of a cult in northern Israel. Munir Farhat, the 56 year old leader of what police said was a destructive cult, allegedly led a group of six families in teaching parents that the only way to discipline children was by abusing them, to imprison them in closets for long hours, and even to paint their faces with excrement.
Farhat and the families are residents of Majd al-Krum, a Muslim town in the Galilee. The cult’s activities extended for more than a decade, police said. Police arrested Farhat several weeks ago, but news of the arrest was released only on Tuesday.
Besides abusing children, Farhat instructed husbands to beat their wives. Women in the cult were forced to donate their time to Farhat, including cleaning his house – and if he was dissatisfied, he would beat the victims and lock them up in a closet for days.
Police said Farhat was also very involved in cult members’ personal lives, and he required them to reveal intimate details of their relationships, and of their finances. He also demanded that members turn over their salaries to him, and he distributed allowances to members. Cult members questioned by police said that Farhat tried to foster total dependence on him, and demanded that they loyally follow his every instruction.
Farhat was arrested after police opened an investigation against him last month, after a member of the cult filed a complaint against him – the only one filed in the decade the cult was in existence, police added.

Following mounting criticism from conservative Muslim groups, Jakarta Governor Joko Widodo urged contestants of the upcoming Miss World pageant not to pose in bikinis.
“The event should be in line with Indonesian culture,” Joko told Indonesian news portal Detik.com on Wednesday. “I think the it will be better if they [contestants] do not wear bikini.”
The Sentul International Convention Center in Bogor, West Java, will host the Miss World 2013 pageant on Sept. 28.
Conservative Muslim groups have been criticizing the event as disrespectful to Indonesian values.
The East Java branch of the Indonesian Council of Ulema (MUI) said that it would send a letter to President Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono to demand that the beauty pageant be scrapped.
Abdusommad Bukhori, the provincial MUI chief, said that as a Muslim country, Indonesia should not have anything to do with such event.
In April, the West Java chapter of the clerical council, claimed that the pageant would “certainly hurt and sully Indonesia’s Muslim community.”
Mukri Aji, the West Java MUI chairman, said the beauty contest was just an excuse to flaunt body parts that should remain covered, adding that it was also impolite and against local religious norms.
The Bogor chapter of Hizbut Tahrir Indonesia, a hard-line Islamic group, also voiced its opposition to the pageant and called for it to be moved elsewhere.

Witches' Get 1,000 Lashes...

A Saudi court sentenced two Asian housemaids to 10 years in jail and ordered their lashed 1,000 times each after they were found guilty of indulging in sorcery at their employers’ houses in the Gulf Kingdom, a newspaper reported on Monday.
Their Saudi employers reported the two maids to the Gulf country’s feared religious police, saying they had discovered that their families had been harmed because of sorcery practiced by the maids against them.
Members of the Commission for the Promotion of Virtue and Prevention of Vice who searched the two houses in Riyadh found talismans and other magic items in the bedrooms of the two maids, Sabq Arabic language daily said.
“The court found them guilty and sentenced them to 10 years in prison and 1,000 lashes each,” the paper said without identifying the maids or specifying the harm they caused.
Saudi Arabia, which strictly enforces Islamic law, has beheaded many persons convicted of practicing magic over the past years.
More than two million domestic servants work in Saudi Arabia, mostly from Indonesia, Sri Lanka and Africa.

Muslims in Sweden Set Fire to School and Nursery...

STOCKHOLM — Groups of youth have smashed shop windows, set cars ablaze and burnt down a cultural center as the riots that started in one Stockholm suburb after a fatal police shooting spread to other low-income areas of the Swedish capital.
Police spokesman Kjell Lindgren says seven people were briefly detained early Wednesday and one person was arrested on suspicion of arson of a cultural center housed in a 19th century building.
Lindgren says 30 vehicles were set ablaze in six suburbs where mainly immigrants live. Gangs of up to 60 youths also set fire to a school and a nursery and hurled rocks at police and fire fighters.
The unrest began Sunday in response to the May 13 shooting, in which police killed a 69-year-old, knife-wielding man in a northwestern suburb.

Pakistan: 250 Christian families driven from their homes | Chak 31 in Khanewal , 'Human Rights Commission of Pakistan', 'Organization for Development and Peace', Pakistan
More than 250 Christian families have been threatened and thrown out from their homes in the village Chak 31 in Khanewal district, in southern Punjab.
A report drawn up by two human rights groups said: "What happened in South Punjab reflects the increase of violence and abuses against religious minorities in Pakistan" and "recalls the serious episode of the attack on Joseph Colony, a Christian area of Lahore, which happened two months ago".
In the aftermath of the recent elections, the 'Human Rights Commission of Pakistan' and 'Organization for Development and Peace' have launched an urgent appeal "to all parties: politics, political parties, civil society, religious organizations, in order to operate actively to mitigate religious intolerance and promote social cohesion."
The appeal was launched "in the interests of the country and not only for the protection of the rights of minorities."Each of the families put to flight by Islamic extremists had about six people, therefore at the moment the faithful without a home are more than 1,500. The escape was the solution chosen to avoid a massacre.
The episode started with a 'provocation'. About 15 days ago, some Muslims accused a Christian businessman, Asher Yaqoob, owner of a small grocery store, and his Christian customers of having disrespectful attitudes towards Islam, inciting the faithful of the nearby village, "Chak 30" , all Muslims.
Christians called the police, but a police officer, instead of protecting them, became the leader of a crowd of 60 Muslims who began to beat anyone they encountered and started destroying homes and shops. Clashes followed and one man was shot and killed. At the news of the death, the crowd threatened a mass attack and set fire to the entire village. The Christian families had no choice but to flee immediately. In the clashes 20 Christians were arrested by the police. The two organizations - the HRCP and ODP reported everything to the police in Multan and have asked the intervention of the civil and religious authorities to restore peace between the two villages.

RENE JOHNSTON / SPECIAL TO THE TORONTO STAR
Sayed Shah Sharifi, a former translator for Canadian forces in Afghanistan, is devatated at the loss of five relatives back home, including three children and his beloved sister. They were killed by a roadside bomb set up by militants, after constant threats against Sharifi and his family.
When Sayed Shah Sharifi’s family heard that distant relatives had been killed in a roadside bomb attack, they decided to pay their condolences to the survivors. On the morning of May 13, seven of them set off from Kandahar for their ancestral village of Maruf, a remote and violent district about 100 kilometres away.
But sometimes in Afghanistan, tragedy begets tragedy. As they reached an area local residents call “horror valley,” their 4x4 vehicle hit a roadside bomb. Five were killed. Two were injured.
The improvised bomb was set up by the Taliban to punish Sharifi for once working as a combat interpreter for the Canadian military in Kandahar.Sharifi is safe in Canada. Instead the militants took their revenge on his beloved sister, on his brother’s wife, and on his niece and two nephews, aged between 8 months and 4 years. His nephew Sharif Khan, 5, was badly hurt.
“Everything that happens is God’s decision, right? He decides what to do,” said Sharifi, his voice breaking with emotion. “Everybody’s gone. Shafeeqa was my best friend and close sister.”

Saudi Women Need Permission to Drive in Kuwait...

Kuwait will not allow Saudi women to drive unless they are permitted to do so by their guardians, the Gulf emirate’s traffic police chief was reported on Wednesday as saying.
“In case a Saudi woman comes to Kuwait to obtain a driving licence, we will not give her unless she gets approval from her guardian,” Brigadier Saleh Al Najim said.
“This rule applies on all Saudi women, whether they are minors, adults or married,” he told the Saudi Arabic language daily Alhayat.
He said Kuwait recognizes Saudi regulations which still ban women from driving cars, adding that some men do not allow their wives or daughters to drive.
“We do not want to cause trouble inside families by giving women driving licence without the knowledge of their guardians,” he said.

Rapist 'Marries' His 12-Year-Old Victim...

A 40 year-old Muslim man charged with raping a 12 year-old girl and marrying her in Malaysia says he sees nothing wrong with his actions under sharia or Islamic law.
"There are many cases of men marrying underage girls," restaurant owner Ruduan Masmud told reporters.
"I do not see how my case can be any different," adding it was "suka sama suka" or mutual consent acceptable under sharia law.
In a case that has outraged rights activists Mr Masmud, a father of four from his first wife, allegedly raped the girl inside a car parked by a road in Kota Kinabalu, the capital of the Borneo state of Sabah, on February 16.

But on April 18 the girl withdrew her accusation against the man in a police report and said they are in the process of him taking her as his second wife.
In subsequent court hearing prosecutors did not object to the case being withdrawn but said the man needed to settle the matter under sharia law.
The girl's father said Mr Masmud paid the family 5000 Malayasian ringgits ($1,708) in compensation and said he accepted the marriage.
"It is best for her that they get married. What else can I do?" he said.
Mr Masmud said he plans for the girl to finish her studies and then "take up a cosmetics course with his first wife."
After reports of the marriage emerged Sabah's minister for community and consumer affairs Datuk Jainab Ahmad said her ministry was questioning the validity of the marriage.
"As a mother, I am still puzzled: how could the father of the girl allow his daughter to be married to the man who had raped her?" she said.
