He’s a sensation in two countries. He’s snarled traffic for miles. He’s so popular that people have literally died waiting in line to see him. Ambilikile Mwasapile, a 76-year-old retired pastor in rural Tanzania, has been offering a herbal concoction that he bills as a miracle potion that can cure just about any illness. In the past few weeks, tens of thousands of sick people have scrambled for a sip of his homebrewed drink. Some, apparently, have even flown in by helicopter.

On Monday, Tanzanian officials said that several dozen elderly and sick people had recently paid the price for joining the throngs.

“They died from the long queues,” said Isidore Shirima, a local official in Arusha, a town popular with tourists about six hours’ drive from the pastor’s village. “We’re not going to stop this, but we want to organize it better.”

Mr. Maasapile, a former Lutheran preacher, lives in Samunge, a village in the middle of the savannah near the Kenya-Tanzania border. He began administering his miracle potion several months ago, and charges about 30 cents a cup. He says it can cure AIDS, cancer, diabetes, high blood pressure — you name it.

NAIROBI, Kenya – The list of countries where Moammar Gadhafi might spend a comfortable life in exile is a lot shorter today than it would have been in years past because of global monetary sanctions and possible trial at the International Criminal Court.

Uganda's deposed dictator, Idi Amin, found refuge first in Libya and eventually in Saudi Arabia in 1980, living in his own villa with female companionship, food and drink.

That kind of good life may not be likely for Gadhafi.

In a twist of fate, Uganda said Wednesday it would accept Libya's leader, the first country to publicly volunteer to give him a home.

Islamabad (AsiaNews) - Qamar David, a Christian originally from Lahore Pakistan, but living in Karachi died in prison while serving a life sentence for blasphemy. Official sources confirm that the man died last night in his cell, after a heart attack. in the past he had suffered several episodes of violence within the prison walls. Human rights activists are calling for an investigation to ascertain the "true causes" of death. Interviewed by AsiaNews, the bishop of Islamabad speaks of "false accusations" against David fabricated to convict him and asks "how much Christian blood will still flow," before the infamous blasphemy laws are "abolished."

Swedish court: naked Muhammad pics legal

A Swedish court has ruled that depicting the prophet Muhammad naked together with his nine-year-old wife naked is legal, freeing a local politician on charges of racial agitation.

Malmö district court has ruled that the poster does not fall foul of press freedom legislation and confirmed a not guilty ruling from March 3rd in favour of Carl P Herslow, leader of the Skåne Party (Skånepartiet) who faced charges of agitation against an ethnic group (hets mot folkgrupp).

The poster included the text: 'He is 53 and she is nine. Is this the kind of wedding we want to see in Skåne?'.

Herslow admitted producing the poster but contested the charges and argued to the court that the poster was intended to stimulate a debate about Islam, which he argued was incompatible with democracy and equality.

The case had been brought by the Chancellor of Justice (Justitiekanslern - JK) - the country's top legal official and responsible for prosecution of cases involving freedom of speech.

Prosecutor Bo Birgerson, representing JK, said that the distribution of the poster showed disrespect to Muslims.

The poster was seized at a public meeting held by Herslow and the party in 2010.

The Skåne Party is a small right-wing populist, anti-immigration party based in southern Sweden. The party was founded by Carl P Herslow in 1979 and was originally formed to protest the Swedish state radio and television monopoly and to advocate self-government for the province of Skåne.

The party won 17 votes in the general election in 2010, claiming 0.8 percent of the vote in its home municipality of Malmö.

The Local's calls to the Skåne Party for comment on Wednesday have not been returned.

I have never seen anything like this before! The Asian appetite for "exotic" taste sometimes scare me - from stories of cat eating to dogs, to lizard, snakes to all sorts of crazy fish, then human embryos and now to fully grown humans! The photo of the person you are about to watch could have been somebody's fiance, husband or Dad! This looks too real to be true.


How I wish all black leaders watch these photos and give guidelines of who they allow to migrate into their countries. The time has come for black (Africans, American, West Indies etc) to rise and unite together against attrocities committed by foreigners on them either on their soil or abroad. Time to pray to God is now!
